Day 1: Fly to Dar es Salaam & Welcome Dinner
Meet us on the Eastern Coast of Africa!Â
Start the expedition off right with a welcome dinner consisting of local cuisine. Meet your travel mates and trip leaders.
Day 2-4: African Safari
No trip to Africa is complete without seeing the animals! During your safari we will search for elephants, hippos, crocodiles, zebra, springbok, kudu, cape buffalo, hyena, and lions. We also visit a local Maasai tribe to learn about traditional African culture.
Day 5-7: Empower an Entrepreneur's Dream
Build a business alongside local entrepreneurs. Together with your travel mates, you will decide which entrepreneurs to sponsor and how you will help them succeed. Your efforts will bless generations.

Day 8: Dolphins, Snorkel, & Sandbar Dinner
Enjoy the beautiful sunrise on a morning tour swimming with wild dolphins.
From there we take boats to snorkel at the famous mangroves teeming with sea life around Mnimba Island. African safari.... underwater style!

We finish off the day on sandbar in the middle of the ocean for an amazing dinner with glass bottle drinks to toast the night.
Day 9: Sea Turtles, reef hunting & Free Day
Enjoy swimming and feeding the sea turtles! Young sea turtles congregate in lagoons across the island. You will also have the option to go hunting with local fishermen in the reefs. The prized catch? Octopus!
There's so much more to do on this island. Dive with sharks, paraglide, snorkel, massages, ride motor scooters around town, souvenir shopping, and so much more. The possibilities are endless!
Day 10: Exploration Day
The Stone Town Historic Slave Tour is an extremely moving experience. Zanzibar's location made it a strategic stronghold for traders and sailors from all over the world. One of the main uses of the island was as a slave trade port. Remnants of the slave markets exist as reminders of the past. Seeing these sites is a moving experience.
Always: Be with the People
Throughout the trip we emphasize being with the people of Tanzania. Traditional foods, cooking classes, games, dancing, music, and fun! This is where you will truly come to understand the spirit of Obontu... Tanzanian style!

Summit Kilimanjaro
Boasting the tallest peak in all of Africa, Kilimanjaro reaches an incredible 19, 341' feet elevation. You will be tested as you conquer this peak!
Average summit expeditions last 5-7 days.
This package includes all the necessary flights, guide services, park and conservatory fees, food and water, transportation, camping equipment, etc.

Mountain biking from the peak to the bottom is an option. Porters will carry the bike up the mountain for you. After reaching the summit on foot, you will then be able to ride your bike the entire descent. This is technical terrain, only experienced mountain bikers should consider this option.

Whether hiking or mountain biking, this expedition offers the experience of a lifetime. This will be challenging, but you will talk about these moments for the rest of your life.
